RESTORATIONS

This 100 year old heritage building served as a supply depot for a sparse, largely agricultural community on Gabriola. Back then, goods arrived by barge. Remnants of the wharf can still be seen at low tide on the beach adjacent to the building.

This building needed help from the ground up. Selected footings, posts & beams on the exposed side needed to be replaced. 

These custom windows were designed, processed & manufactured by JBH to compliment the character of the building. When doors, windows or other building components cannot be affordably sourced, we can custom build the components.

The building required extensive work to restore the exterior. Rough sawn fir was processed into shiplap and received 2 coats of high quality stain before installation.

Various structural repairs to sections of the floor and wall systems were also required.
